The Le Creuset 'Multimat' is a truly versatile item, making it one of the better multi-tasking kitchen tools available.
It is a ridged circular silicone mat, of approx 8"/20.5 cm diameter, which is dishwasher safe.
As per the use/care labels attached:-
a) Non-slip mat
b) Pot holder
c) Jar gripper
d) *Surface protector
* 'Protects most surfaces against heat transfer. When used as a surface protector, it will not provide total heat insulation and should be used in conjunction with other protection on vulnerable surfaces such as natural, polished or lacquered wood, plastic table coverings or cork backed table mats.'
This SUPER item currently comes in these other colours:-
WHITE
RED
VOLCANIC
BLUE
TEAL (aka CARIBBEAN)
to fit in with any kitchen colour scheme. It even has a hole for hanging it up, or just pop it in a drawer - it takes up very little space!
I find it particularly useful for stabilising a bowl when whisking, keeping the carving dish steady when slicing the Sunday roast beef and unscrewing that stubborn new M & S strawberry jam jar lid! |

... and I'm very pleased with them. Predominantly being used as trivets at the moment but also good for stopping bowls etc slipping on (or off) the work surface. I can see how the flexibility will allow use as grip and lid remover. All in all a flexible, useful and good looking product.

| Good quality item, not used yet as I am waiting for my new kitchen to be installed! My mum has some and they are really useful for putting hot pans etc on. They look stylish too. |

| Just had a new kitchen fitted with granite work tops that get damaged with heat. Bought these to protect the worktop and I'm delighted, look good with fanatastic grip to both worktop and pan. |
